With the CabTalk system, now you won’t be required to raise your voice to talk to the passengers in the third seat, as you can talk to them via intercom. The CabinWatch system helps you keep an eye on the rear passenger seats without taking extra efforts by using the camera integrated into the cabin. One major addition being the availability of a Rear Seat Reminder system which displays the rear seating area on the display at the center console before the driver gets out of the vehicle. There have been minimal changes in the already excellent interior for the 2021 Honda Odyssey. What are the changes in the Interior of the 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite? The Kia Sedona comes closer to the Odyssey Elite with a combined range of 443 miles with a bigger 21.1-gallon fuel tank. With a higher fuel economy and a large 19.5-gallon fuel tank, the 2021 Honda Odyssey provides the highest highway range of 546 miles. With these systems in place, the fuel economy is way higher than previously expected. Along with that, the Variable Cylinder Management system switches between the 3 or 6 cylinders when needed for better fuel efficiency. The idle-stop system switches off the engine when idle, like at a stoplight to save fuel. These on-paper numbers do translate into on-road performance and provide a better fuel economy than stated. The 2021 Honda Odyssey provides a decent EPA-rated fuel economy of 19/28/22 for city/highway/combined which is what we expected for a minivan of this size. What kind of MPG figures will the 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite offer? The closest competitor to the Odyssey in terms of acceleration and top speed is the Toyota Sienna SE. The same performance is seen at quarter-mile acceleration as well, with the car achieving a top speed of 110mph. But when we compare the acceleration times, the Odyssey Elite leads the pack with 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds which is pretty impressive for a vehicle of this size. The Honda Odyssey has one of the biggest engines in the competition, but the Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle produces 7 horses more than the Odyssey Elite. With the powerful 280hp and 262lb-ft engine, the new 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite stands strong to compete with its rivals in the minivan segment. This results in a smooth fun ride, which is very much unlike a general minivan experience.
